LeoVegas kicks off Responsible Gambling Week
The industry-led campaign Responsible Gambling Week runs between 7th - 13th November and LeoVegas will once again be part of the initiative to improve visibility and raise awareness of the campaign.
LeoVegas is committed to Responsible Gambling and to demonstrate this, the brand is replacing the LeoVegas logo on the Tigers’ shorts with the Responsible Gambling banner.
Responsible Gambling is an important cornerstone of the company and the move demonstrates the dedication of the LeoVegas Group to Responsible Gambling and the safety of customers.
Responsible Gambling Week for the second-year running is being supported by the LeoVegas Group and Leicester Tigers rugby during the clash against London Irish Sunday 10th November 2019.
The industry-led campaign runs between 7th - 13th November and LeoVegas will once again be part of the initiative to improve visibility and raise awareness of the campaign. Our aim is to promote and continue the discussion throughout our workforce but also educate our customers about how to gamble responsibly, which tools are available and what support that can be utilised for those who experience harm.
One of our innovative approaches was launching LeoSafePlay, which uses machine learning to create risk profiles. LeoSafePlay is constantly evolving as we learn more about our customers and how to protect those most vulnerable at the earliest point. This is supported by manual reviews by the 24/7 Safer Gambling team who interact with customers through telephone, live chat and email, and by providing specialist information about the controls available.
A spokesperson from Leicester Tigers said:
“LeoVegas is a great partner and we share the same goal of creating a safe and entertaining environment for our supporters and customers so when Leo approached us to promote their work during Responsible Gambling Week we were very pleased to get involved.”
Alongside replacing the LeoVegas logo the brand will also auction off a handful of shorts, signed by the Leicester Tigers. The proceeds will be donated to the Gordon Moody Association - a unique and residential treatment programme for addicted gamblers - and LeoVegas Group partner.
Joe Bell, Head of Safer Gambling and AML at Rocket X – Part of the LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group said:
“The LeoVegas Group is committed to providing not only the greatest, but also the safest online gaming experience in the industry. It’s a bold ambition, but through innovative Responsible Gambling initiatives and strategic partnerships with like-minded third-parties, it’s one we’re confident we will achieve”
Responsible Gambling Week is a cross-industry initiative to promote safer gambling in the UK and Ireland. The aim is to create a dialogue with customers, staff, gambling operators and the wider public about gambling responsibly and driving awareness of the help available.
