Casino-games recommendations by LeoVegas
LeoVegas offers a recommendation engine to help players choose from more than 1,500 casino games. The recommendation engine is at the forefront of machine learning, which LeoVegas uses in a growing number of areas, including marketing and responsible gaming, to secure its position as the King of Casino. All development is conducted internally by a team of highly skilled data scientists.

The recommendation engine learns which games the customer is likely to enjoy playing by identifying and utilizing patterns in historical data. The new casino lobby contains the six most relevant games, as predicted by the algorithm, excluding those that the customer played during the last six months. The recommendation lobby is updated with a new personalized selection of casino games every Friday.
Below are a few fun facts that our algorithm has learnt:
- People between 36 and 50 are more interested in games with gold themes than in those with watermelon themes.
- Games with dark themes are appreciated in Italy. Orange and brown themes are preferred in Norway.
- Games about ancient civilizations are appealing to German customers.
- People between 18 and 25 and between 51 and 75 are particularly interested in games with the re-spin feature.
We have also run a small-scale study prior to the launch and have observed the following patterns in customers’ interactions with the recommended games:
- People between 51 and 75 played more fantasy and adventure games compared to participants between 26 and 50.
- Gold themes are more popular among German players.
- Games with the wild and free-spin features are popular in the U.K.
The launch is only the beginning. The recommendation engine is constantly improving, producing more relevant and more diverse games to try and, thereby, ensuring that the customer receives the best gaming experience.
The recommendation feature is available to all active customers with the temporary exception of accounts registered in Spain due to the limited game offering and a small random subset of accounts reserved for testing purposes.
